COL Brannon was commissioned in 1999 through the Officer Candidate School and branched into the Infantry. In 2013, he became the Institutes first recipient of a fellowship from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
Dr. Copeland did his internship and residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was commissioning crew Navigator in USS Peleliu (LHA-5) in which he transited the Panama Canal and crossed the equator.

2004. Since his arrival at VMI, LTC Kendrick has co-developed an entirely new French curriculum that emphasizes written, oral, and cross-cultural communication across a French majors cadetship. Soon after high school, he enlisted in the Regular Army as a private where he served as an Infantryman with the 7th and 25th Infantry Divisions (LT) at Fort Lewis, Washington then earned an honorable discharged in 1998. He also holds an associate degree in Civil Engineering from Institute of Technology in Baghdad.
